The Lucy Dress
Lucy is an easy-to-make and versatile garment for beginners. A-line jumper that can be customized with sweet details. The dress buttons on the shoulder is piped along the top edge, and can be made with a ruffle at the hem. It is an ideal dress to take your little one from summer into fall.
You need basic knowledge of how to construct a garment and we will go over adding piping, and how to construct a fully lined dress.
A pre-made kit from the sewing house containing your pattern, 2 yards of fabric (1 for dress, 1 for lining) pre-made contrasting piping, and fabric glue stick.
Instructor: Jessica Lyons
I learned to sew 15 years ago when my Granny taught me to hand quilt. I quickly became obsessed and since then have been sewing and quilting regularly. When my oldest son was born in 2014, I learned maching & hand embroidery, garment sewing and pattern drafting. I sew for my daughter now on a daily basis. My favorite type of sewing is classic orange vintage children’s garments in fun prints!
