You're invited to join our "Souper Bowl" Quilt Soup Exchange to benefit YoungLife Memphis Nonprofit Org!

We are excited to announce our Souper Bowl Quilt Soup Exchange!! Together, we're going to have fun with a cool sewing challenge AND raise funds for YoungLife Memphis, a nonprofit organization investing in the lives of Memphis teens since 1943. We invite our sewing and quilting community to join us in donating generously to support this wonderful organization and everyone who gives is invited to the Souper Bowl!

Why is this event SEW MUCH FUN?!

• Donate & Pick up your bowl anytime from Dec. 30th - Jan. 11th - You will fill a soup container you pick up from one of our three shops with scrap fabric after you donate to YoungLife. HERE.
• Fill your soup bowl with “soup mix” scrap fabrics in coordinating “tasty” colors (no smaller than 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" or larger than a Fat Quarter size). Select lovely fabrics that coordinate well together for best “soup mix”!
• Turn in your "soup mix" fabrics by Saturday, Jan. 18th to the shop you got your bowl from and you will be given another "chef's" soup mix fabrics. 
• Pick up a new soup container filled with soup mix from a mystery person anytime from Jan. 18th through Feb. 1st. Let your imagination run wild and sew anything as the chef of the soup mix! Create any project you wish (bag, pincushion, wall hanging, table runner, etc.) You must use at least 1/2 of the “soup mix” and you may add one fabric of your choice as added “broth”.
• Bring your completed project to The Sewing House location you originally picked up your bowl at anytime before Saturday, Feb. 8th at Noon. Label your project with your name. 
• On Souper Bowl weekend, Saturday, Feb. 8th, we will exchange the finished “soup” from Noon - 1 pm with a Souper Bowl Party (all 3 locations are participating - visit the shop you dropped off your soup mix at). 
• The big reveal! You will find out who your "chef" is and a beautiful creation will be revealed to you! Everyone receives a sewn (or quilted) project to take home lovingly created by their "secret chef"!
• If you cannot attend the Feb. 8th party at Noon, you may pick up your gift project to take home on or after Tuesday, Feb. 11th from the shop you started at.
   
  It is a sewing challenge of sorts, a ton of fun, a great scrap buster, and a wonderful way to give back to charity.  We guarantee your hearts will be warmed with amazing “soup” recipes and your creative friendships will soar!
