Beginning Crochet Class for Teens and Adults-June 6-Memphis

Saturday, June 6, 10am to 12pm (noon), Memphis

Learn to crochet a simple market purse with this beginner crochet class. If you're ready to pick up a hook for the first time, this class is for you! Great for a parent and preteen or get a group of friends together. 

Level: Complete beginner--no prior skills necessary.

Instructor: Candice Harris

Finished Product: You will learn the absolute basics of crocheting to make a simple market purse/bag. You may finish your market purse/bag in class depending on how large/ small you would like your purse.

In this class, you will learn the fundamental basics of crocheting including how to hold the hook and yarn, complete chain stitches (CH), half double crochet stitches (HDC), and slip stitches.

Pattern: Your instructor, Candice, will provide the pattern in class. There is no additional purchase necessary for it.

Yarn and notion requirements, available at The Sewing House:

• 2 skeins of Coastal Cotton Yarn or Pima 100 yarn
• 4 mm or 5 mm crochet hook
  
• Scissors
