Beginning Knitting-September 13-Memphis
Saturday, September 13 and 27, 10am to 12noon, Memphis
Instructor: Yvie Overton
In this two-part beginner class, you’ll learn the basics of knitting while creating a simple, elegant scarf. The recommended yarn will result in a warm and cozy piece perfect for fall or winter! There will be (fun!) homework between the two class sessions.
In this class, you will learn how to read a simple pattern, hold the knitting needles, maintain the tension, make a slip knot, and weave in the ends of the yarn. Yvie will cover the knit stitch, and how to increase and decrease.
