Fat Quarter Shuffle/Introduction to Quilting-March 16-Collierville

Finish your first quilt in four classes! This class is perfect for someone who wants to learn how to quilt. The “Fat Quarter Shuffle” pattern is beginner friendly and looks great in your choice of fabrics. It would make a great small lap quilt or a gift for a child or baby!

In this class, you’ll learn to cut using a rotary cutter and ruler, piece a quilt top, learn to baste a quilt sandwich, discuss ways to quilt, and attach a sewn binding. You will have homework between classes. 

Level: Adult Beginner-You can consistently sew a straight line and must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet.

Fabric requirements (must be purchased at the Sewing House:)
Fat Quarter Shuffle Pattern
10 fat quarters, backing, and binding fabric according to pattern directions

Notions needed for class (purchased at the Sewing House:)
Batting
Spray Baste
