Modern Hexies is a faster version of traditional english paper piecing with a modern spin. This class will provide hands on instruction for how to apply this technique to create a beautiful pillow. You will learn how to lay out the Hexies to achieve your desired finish.

In this class, you will make hexagons, lay out the design, quilt the top, and assemble a pocket pillow cover.

Level: Advanced Beginner-You have some sewing/quilting experience. You can consistently sew a straight line and and a 1/4” seam. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet. You are able to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut your fabric.

Fabric requirements purchased at the Sewing House:
•1 yard of fabric for the pillow front, lining and back
•(41) 2 1/2 in squares, of fabric or a mini charm pack
•Modern Hexies pattern
