Introduction to English Paper Piecing - October 10, 2026 - Collierville

This technique class will give you an overview of English Paper Piecing, a fun and portable method of hand piecing. We will talk about tools used, choosing fabrics, and various techniques for cutting fabric pieces and sewing them together.  This very traditional art has been given a few modern twists that make it even more fast and fun.

You will learn about types of English Paper Piecing templates, how they are used to create the elements for your design, methods of basting your pieces, and sewing them into your project. You will also learn about different notions and supplies that may be used, and how they make your paper piecing faster and more accurate. You may learn your new favorite craft to take with you on the go!

You will use the skills you learn in class to create a paper pieced panel from beautiful Liberty of London fabrics.  Finishing instructions to complete the cute zipper bag, as pictured, are included in your class kit.  This is a hand sewing class.

Level: Beginner - no hand sewing experience needed

Kit Includes: Pack of 100 x 1″ hexagon paper shapes, Liberty Tana Lawn fabric in rainbow colors for Hexagon Pouch outer, soft cotton lining fabric, zipper and fully illustrated instructions included.
