Lone Star Quilt-June 1-Collierville

Instructor: Amy Jordan

Level: Adult Intermediate-You have quilting experience. You can consistently sew a straight line and and a 1/4” seam. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet.. You are able to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut your fabric.

This class is always a customer favorite! The Jelly Roll Lone Star is a great way to bring a contemporary spin on such a traditional quilt design, and this version looks much more complicated and intricate than it actually is to construct.

In this class, you will learn how to use a jelly roll (precut 2.5” strips) to begin assembling the quilt top. You will finish the quilt on your own, but an additional follow up class with the instructor will be considered if needed.

Fabric requirements:

•Jelly Roll   

•2 yards background fabric

•3 1/2 yards backing

•1/2 yard binding

Note: instructions for making the quilt will be provided at the first class.
