Saturday Class! Beginning Sock Knitting-March 29-Collierville

Saturday, March 29, April 5 and 12, 1:00 to 3:00pm, Collierville

Learn to knit socks! Brigitte will teach the basic top down sock technique and help you complete your first pair of handmade socks. Once you make one pair, you'll be hooked!  In this class, you will cast on and knit on double pointed needles, learn how to knit a short row heel and finish the toe. Homework between classes is required.

Level: Adult Advanced Beginner-You already have basic knitting skills and how to knit and purl, double-point experience helpful but not necessary. 

Yarn requirements purchased at the Sewing House/Delta Fibre Arts:
One skein of 6 ply sock yarn (Supersocke Merino recommended,) 
#3 double pointed needles
OR
one skein of 4 ply sock yarn, #1.5 double pointed needles (will take longer to knit)
Sock pattern provided by the instructor
