Skill level: Adult Confident beginner to advanced quilter-You have quilting experience. You can consistently sew a straight line and and a 1/4” seam. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet.. You are able to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut your fabric.
Introducing BLOEM! (Pronounced 'Bloom') The way this pattern was designed, possibilities bloom before your very eyes as you rotate your pieces to see a wide variety of final design options. It’s like a colorful kaleidoscope.
In this class, you will practice curved blocks and half-square triangles. Libs will guide particpants on how to successfully piece curves and how to sew blocks together to ensure matching seams with tips and tricks along the way. She’ll also cover the various ways these quilts can be quilted for maximum effect. Participants will get a good start on the quilt blocks and leave with the knowledge required to complete it at home.
Fabric requirements (Must be purchased at the Sewing House:)
Bloem pattern (Two sizes: 48”x48” or 64”x64”)
The Sewing House carries Libs’ fabric, and she has a new line coming out in early Spring 2025. We will curate kits closer to the class date.
For special event classes, there are no refunds or store credits. You may transfer your registration to another person at any time.
Payment options: pay in full ($169) or pay half now/half in January (two payments of $84.50.) All payments are non-refundable.
