Amy Butler - Stitchy Bundles

STITCHY BUNDLES! 8 x 8”

These bundles are made with up-cycled, hand stitched and embroidered kantha quilts! I discovered the material while scouring the hidden alleys in Jaipur looking for new hand made suppliers for Caravan Souk. Our quilting friends went CRAZY for them at our recent retail fabric/sewing shows! They are so fascinating, incredibly soft and totally unique! We could barley keep them stocked in the booth! 

Each bundle has 20 unique “reversible” cuts. Stitchers are making reversible quilts, jackets, fiber jewelry, hoodies and bags! Each cut is finished on both sides; that really extends your design palette! Take a look at the photos for our sizing chart for Stitchy Bundle projects (how many bundles make up different sizes).

I ran two test washes on the cuts and they washed up beautifully in the machine, cold water, mild detergent. I let one set of cuts air dry and placed the other cuts in the dryer on high heat. They came out soft and fresh with no color bleeds. The vendor I purchased the cuts from suggests dry cleaning for extra safety I’m sure, but I found washing them was no problem.

Because of the unique nature of these bundles, no two are alike, but they’re all full of real gems! We’ll be sure you get a bundle of amazing cuts. Even the folks at our live trade shows didn’t seem to mind and just “dove in”!
