Tunisian Crochet for Beginners—August 29—Memphis

Curious about Tunisian crochet? This beginner friendly class is the perfect place to start! Students will learn the fundamentals of Tunisian crochet, including how to hold the hook, create basic stitches, and understand the unique techniques that make this craft different from traditional crochet and knitting. 

Level: Complete beginner--no prior skills necessary.

Instructor: Candice Harris

Finished Product: You will learn and practice the absolute basics of Tunisian crocheting to make a simple panel. Because Tunisian crochet takes longer than knitting and crocheting, this class will be focused on practice and not a final product.

In this class, you will learn how to accurately hold the yarn, create a slip knot, and work basic Tunisian crochet stitches. 

Pattern: Your instructor, Candice, will provide the pattern in class. There is no additional purchase necessary for it.

Yarn and notion requirements, available at The Sewing House:

• 1 skein of Coastal Cotton Yarn
• 5 mm Tunisian crochet hook
  
• Scissors
