Create a colorful, textured hand towel while learning a fun and satisfying slip stitch pattern; this simple technique adds beautiful dimension and absorbency. The pattern also features an i-cord edging, giving your finished towel a clean, professional look. This advanced beginner class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl stitches and want to build their skills while making a practical project they'll love to use or gift.

Finished Product: Students will learn advanced stitches to create a beautiful hand towel.

In this class, students will be working through a slip stitch pattern with color changes. This class will support anyone interested in exploring mosaic color-work. In this pattern, students will also work on the simultaneous I-cord edge technique. This is a single session class. Due to the time constraints, the I-cord bind-off and loop finishing listed in the pattern is not guaranteed to be covered in the class. If there is a need or interest, the instructor would be happy to schedule an additional meeting or compile resources to support individual learning.

Yarn and notion requirements, available at The Sewing House:

• 2 skeins of different color Coastal Cotton Yarn or Pima 100 yarn
• US 5 (3.75 mm) straight or 24-inch circular knitting needles
  • If using straight needles and interested in I-cord bind-off, US 5 double pointed needles are additionally required. Reach out to the Sewing House for questions.
• Scissors
• Darning Needle
