From Favorite to Fashion, A 2-Day Garment Sewing Workshop-December 13 & 14-Collierville

Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14, 10am to 4pm, Collierville

Instructor: Tyler Brooke from Mood Fabric, New York City

Transform your favorite piece of clothing into a brand-new handmade version, guided through pattern making, cutting, and sewing with Tyler. Bring your shirt, pants, shorts, skirt or casual dress, and she will help you recreate a unique garment from start to finish (without taking your garment apart!)

NOTE: This a workshop, and everyone may be working on different projects. You will get  guidance from Tyler, but be prepared to work independently in a group environment.

Adult INTERMEDIATE: You have sewing experience and can follow a pattern. Experience with zippers and garment sewing is encouraged but not required. You can keep a consistent seam allowance. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet.

Fabric requirements are dependent on your project. 
Optional: Book a one-on-one guided mini shopping video consultation with Tyler and let her guide you through your project (scheduled separately.) She'll ask all the right questions about your garment and point you toward the ideal fabrics at Mood. These personalized consultations are scheduled directly through the store and available through early December.
