Going Places Garment Bag-October 1-Collierville

This functional, stylish garment bag bag is fun to make and keeps your clothes and accessories travel-ready. The sturdy quilted bag features a full front double-slide zipper opening and has a top opening for hanger extension. A handy loop secures hangers and enables the bag to be hung on a hanger or hook. The bag folds in half for easy carrying. Two adjustable, detachable straps make traveling a breeze. This high-end garment bag is great for taking on the road to dance competitions, performances, or even on vacation.

In this class, you will learn to incorporate mesh and vinyl into a bag as well as how to put zippers on mesh fabric. You will learn to use different pieces of hardware. You will have homework between classes.

Level: Adult ADVANCED BEGINNER  You have some sewing/quilting experience. You can consistently sew a straight line and and a 1/4” seam. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet. You are able to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut your fabric.
