Highland Pullover and Beanie Knit Kit

A beautiful baby pullover with matching beanie styled after the colorwork of the Faire Isles of Scotland using our U.S. Organic Cotton yarn.  Available in two colorways: Maple and Sherbert.

The kit comes with three balls of the base color and three balls of each contrasting color,  for a total of six balls.  Each ball of U.S. Organic Cotton is 3 oz.: 194yd/177m

Needles and Notions:

• Size US 4 (3.5 mm) 40-47" (100-120 cm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Size US 6 (4.0 mm) 40-47" (100-120 cm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:

• 22 sts and 30 rnds=4" (10cm) in Stockinette Stitch, with larger needles, unwashed and unblocked
• 22 sts and 32 rnds=4" (10cm) in Stockinette Stitch, with larger needles, washed and blocked
• 22 sts and 27 rnds=4" (10cm) in Colorwork Pattern, with larger needles, unwashed and unblocked
• 22 sts and 30 rnds=4" (10cm) in Colorwork Pattern, with larger needles, wash and blocked

The kit also provides a link for two adorable puppet patterns: one a lamb we call Little Lamb and the other our Loch Ness Monster, Nessie.  These designs use the left over yarn from the pullover and beanie colorwork section and make a very fun washcloth puppet for your little ones.
