Patchwork Duffle-September 19-Memphis

Learn to make the perfect duffle bag. Make it once and you’ll want to make several more. Fill it up and take it on a trip!  The pattern includes options for using either a single exterior fabric or patchwork fabric that you create.  Completing all the pre-work prior to each class will enable you to finish this bag in class. (Finished Dimensions: 12” H x 20 ½” W x 9” D)

In this class, you will learn how to work with directional fabrics, insert the perfect zipper with a binding trim, add internal customized pockets, use mesh and fold over elastic, use bias binding, use premade webbing for handles (or cover strapping with fabric), work with Soft and Stable and learn basic bag construction.

Level: Adult Intermediate- You have sewing experience but would like to learn more about bag making. This is a perfect introduction into all the wonderful bags you can create! You are comfortable with a variety of sewing/quilting techniques, using a rotary cutter and mat, are confident using your sewing machine, and can consistently stitch a straight 1/4” seam.
