Silk Finish 50wt Cotton Thread 164yd - Citrus - 9105-25 & Sewing House Fabric

I am making colorful quilted placemats. I had the bright colorful fish fabric in my "stash" and needed to purchase accent and bias binding fabric along with thread for topstitching.

I was going to use a thread color that matched the background color for both the main and accent fabric. After discussing it with Bri (who also helped with choosing the fabric to go with my "stash" fish fabric), she offered a suggestion to use a bright yellow thread for topstitching to pick up the color in some of the fish in the topical fish fabric.

Ya'll, the quilted placemats look totally amazing with the bright yellow accent color! Not only did the thread color make a difference, but I know that using this high quality thread will be best for my quilted placemats as well.
