A hoodie is the perfect starting point for beginners in garment sewing—it’s simple, comfortable, and practical. And really, who doesn’t love a great hoodie?

Your creativity is only as limited as what you can make, discover at a thrift store, find in your linen closet, or even repurpose an item in your own wardrobe. If you can operate a sewing machine, have basic sewing skills, and are familiar with a few common terms, you’re ready to get started.

In this class, you will learn pattern reading and placement for garment sewing.

Adult ADVANCED BEGINNER- You have some sewing/quilting experience. You can consistently sew a straight line and a consistent seam allowance. You must have a mastery of your sewing machine including threading, bobbin winding, changing needle, stitch length adjustment, and changing out presser feet. You are able to use a rotary cutter and mat to cut your fabric.

Fabric requirements:
Sully’s Upcycled Hoodie Sewing Pattern -digital download (link and discount code sent after registration)
